Parking:

Both the 5k Run and 1 Mile Wobble will begin at the intersection of Main & Broadway in Downtown Edmond at 28 E Main Street. There is parking along Broadway in Downtown Edmond, at the Festival Market Place, across from the Downtown Edmond Community Center, and around the City of Edmond municipal buildings.

Course Description:

KEEP US SANE, STAY IN 1 LANE. Even though Boulevard has 4 lanes, all runners must stay in 1 lane going out, and stay in 1 lane coming back. There may be cars traveling in the other lanes. Traffic cones are in place for this reason.

Starting Line at Main and Broadway, the course will travel East on Main to Boulevard. At Boulevard, the course will turn left and travel North towards Danforth (The turnaround for the 1 Mile Wobble will be between Ayers and Danforth). The 5k Run will continue North on Boulevard through Danforth and turn around at a designated marker (A water station will be provided at the 5k turnaround). All participants will travel the same route back to Main and Broadway and cross the Finish Line. Post-race drinks and snacks will be provided near the finish line. It is the participant's responsibility to follow all instructions from signs, course volunteers, and police officers.

This is relatively flat and fast course for those that are looking for personal bests! For those that aren't so concerned about personal bests and are just looking for a pre-meal stretch, the scenery along the course will include public art, landscaping, and residences. Warning: Keep a quick eye open for the Turkey on the course. Considering it's Turkey season, it won't stay visible for long.

Safety:

The edmond turkey trot takes place on public streets. It is our priority to maintain a high level of safety for all of our participants by providing course signage, course volunteers, and police officers for traffic control. It is the participant's responsibility to follow all instructions. Failure to follow instructions may endanger yourself and other participants. Participants who do not follow instructions may be ejected and/or ticketed.

REMEMBER: KEEP US SANE, STAY IN 1 LANE.

The Edmond Turkey Trot is approved by the City of Edmond Special Events Committee and traffic control will be maintained as much as possible by the Edmond Police Department. We could not have this event without the Police Department's support and we thank them for their help!! Please remember to give all of the volunteers a friendly Gobble, Gobble!!
